Cornelia Funke
Cornelia Funke was born in 1958 in Dorsten, Germany. Cornelia started full time writing at the age of thirty-five. Cornelia Funke attended the the University of Hamburg where she got a degree in education theory. She is one of the most popular authors in Germany. Her international bestseller was Dragon Rider, which stayed on the the New York Times bestseller list for seventy-eight weeks. Right now Cornelia Funke lives in Los Angeles, California. I enjoy the fact that she uses kids as the main characters of her books, it makes the stories relatable to young people.
